Our Twos Program
Turning two means an explosion of exploring independence and enhancing communication skills. The teachers at Rehoboth Learning Center provide a fun and active learning environment where our wonderful two’s can learn more about the world around them and begin to grow socially through small group peer interactions and support from the classroom teacher.
In our Two’s class we provide a balanced mixture of skill building play, quiet activities, and active play throughout our structured day. We partner with parents and children for a successful potty training experience at their individual pace.
Basic educational concepts are introduced such as color and shape recognition as well as counting and the alphabet. We introduce and reinforce these concepts through play, circle time, and lots of hands on learning activities.
Our Preschool Program
Rehoboth Learning Center is Maryland State Department Accredited which means that we go above and beyond the minimum standards set forth by the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care. We utilize the Creative Curriculum to create a framework for creative learning through environments that promote independence and self control, foster a sense of trust, and encourage children to assert themselves in a socially acceptable manner. Through prayer, songs and stories we incorporate the teachings of Jesus Christ into our daily interactions.
Our highly qualified teachers use the thematic approach for lesson planning activities that are enjoyable for the children. The children learn through play geared according to the following domains:
Our curriculum encourages children to explore their interests and allows them to progress at their own developmental pace. Social interaction is also a large part of the curriculum at Rehoboth. The children learn the importance of getting along with others, helping, sharing, and the valuable role that each individual plays in the group. At Rehoboth we promote the growth of the whole child.
Our School Age Program
Rehoboth Learning Center’s School Age Program provides a safe and nurturing environment for students Kindergarten through 8th grade before and after school and full days when schools are closed. We currently serve Williamsport Elementary, Fountain Rock Elementary, Hickory Elementary, and Springfield Middle School. Before and after school care is available to students outside of our district as long as the parents provide transportation.
Our before and after school program offers recreation, arts and crafts, homework assistance, and Bible and devotional time. Our students receive an afternoon snack upon their arrival from school.
Transportation to and from Williamsport Elementary is provided by Washington County Public School buses. We also provide transportation to and from Fountain Rock Elementary, and Springfield Middle with our fifteen passenger van.
